Caddo Lake Bass on the Fly

Had fair day on caddo, fish popper most all day. Water Temp 82 and and found some schooling bass in the river areas.

I love catching bass on the popper. Sometimes when you can see the take you get a really good example of why black bass are sometimes called "bucket mouths."

Wow, that is a super sized Bass, especially on a fly rod. I need to get me a measuring board like that...showing that Bass was nearly 45 inches long. Or maybe my eyes are going bad.

Oh wait, my bad I FISH, for that I am truly embarrassed. I do have a measuring board like that I think. It extends out a long ways and it appears yours does to, but isn't extended. So sorry.

We will be heading back to caddo thursday and maybe Friday, hope to have some good photos for you all, caddo is one of our best fly fishing lake in east Texas.
