san luis pass report

Headed to the pass next Monday 16th. I assume reds are in but was wondering about trout and flounder sightings.

It's under water for the most part.

Not sure I understand comment. Fall and winter always bring high tides but we usually do ok at the bridge and out in front of bird island. Mud cut has been good but slow for the last few years. Churchill cut was good this summer.

Fished at the pass Mon-Thur. Cold front had just passed and it was windy first two days. Got several bull reds on cut mullet. Finger mullet was almost impossible. Sand Trout and Black Drum on live and fresh dead shrimp. Weather was better Wed-Thur but fishing about the same. Not great but not a skunk either. Two flounder
ps Did I forget to mention if fou fished reel hard you could almost. Almost I said get a limit of hard heads and gaftops.
