Glow/FireTail.
Woke my young Slugger up at 5:30 a.m. and we wade fished from the crack of dawn until 8:30 am, shell reef 4-6 ft. drop off.
Plenty of bait and fish activity, but nothing after 45 minutes of chunking dark colors - plum/chartreuse, pumpkseed/chartreuse and Texas Roach.
Switched to Glow/Firetail SW Bass Assassin and immediately hook up 3 of first 4 casts.
Throwing at the same spot I was seeing fish activity, just switched to the Glow/FireTail.
Good action for another 45 minutes with 3 outta 5 trout being keepers in the 15" to 18" range
Back in the vehicle at 8:30 a.m. ready to go clean some trout.
Daughter came in a litte later from HS volleyball 2 a days asking "What's for lunch."
Thanks to having some trusty Glow/Firetails handy it'll be Lemon Pepper Trout grilled in an iron skillet with baked taters n' stuff served up for the athletes around here to feed on.
