Brownwood has a nice state park with cabins and a boat ramp. I deer hunt about 5 miles from the gate.

I plan on doing some bass fishing in the next few weeks down there when I go to check deer feeders.

Brownwood is very limited with places to stay. Wild Duck marina has some places by the dam. They have there own boat ramp so not bad. Per Mr Harper, Mountain View has a couple of portable cabins they have brought in. They have a ramp and boat slips. they also have a lot of room for RV's. I have never stayed at the State Park but it has good lodging and a ramp. No slips that I know of. There are a few vacation rentals by owner.

Mountain View does not have any cabins listed on their website. Guess you have to call?

There is also a motel at the hwy 279 bridge. Not sure if there is a ramp there or not. No docks at all. Another place is Quail Hollow cabins(I think I have that right). They are not on the water but not far from Mountainview.
