How To Catch Small Gar (Longnose and Spotted Gar)

Decided to show everyone how im targeting little longnose and spotted gar its super easy and simple and anyone can do it.

Caught 11 gar for the day both longnose and spotted gar. lost a few bigger longnose Gar at the boat but, didn't see any gator Gar. We both had a awesome time catching some 512 area code Gar. Judas kept telling me "daddy it's a dinosaur"

Nice!! I caught a bunch in Mississippi, by accident I might add, with the Zara Spook.

Them Spotted gar are neat lookin fish. I caught one last year at Lake Bonham that was probably close to 7 or 8 lbs. Looked a lot like a gator gar but with all them big black spots. AFAIK that was my first time to catch a spotted. Released it in good health.

Gar eat many times their weight in game fish every day. For the love of Pete, don't put them back in the water after you pull them out.

Here we go again. Show us the data to prove it. If you can't, please don't try to mislead others with your unfounded claims.

Funny but in my 71 years and hundreds of gar caught I can count on one hand all the gar I have caught on live bait. I am also missing three fingers on that hand.
