Cedar hill state park - 09/26/13 03:29 AM

I'm going camping with the family in two weeks on Joe pool and I am taking my recently purchased kayak. Are there any coves or structure out there that I would have a shot at getting to with any luck? Any help would be appreciated, just want to get a few bites and I am waaay out of practice.

the north end of the lake by the dam has good grass and humps....thers a road that takes you into a cove in the northeast corner of the lake

If we can get rain or a front to drop the water temp, you can see the grass at the north end and by the swimming area that will produce. Right now the water temp is way too warm for any activity other than catfish and carp.

There's a big marina at CHSP. You can easily access it with your yak. Fishing should be good around the docks and boat slips. You could easily fish that whole cove (it's fairly large) but I've never fished it so I don't know much about it.
