Canyon/Rebecca Creek ramp area

Canyon/Rebecca Creek ramp area - 12/30/10 10:24 PM

Anyone seen the water level at Rebecca creek ramp recently? I'm just wondering if it's still up like last spring. There is a HUGE difference in the distance I have to paddle to get to the shallows upstream if the water is up. Almost 4 miles I think. Not a fun paddle. Any info is appreciated!

Here is the chart I use and it's pretty accurate!
http://wiid.twdb.state.tx.us/ims/resinfo/BushButton/lakeStatus.asp

It shows Canyon at 907.86 and normal pool is 909 so your looking at not even a foot and a half low which means it's pretty much full.

Looks like a long paddle Kyle! I've got an extra trolling motor if you can use one, you'll just need a battery.

I went today,....put in at the public ramp next to Potters Creek Campground. The water is high enough to say that surely ALL ramps are usable.

I figured it was still high. It makes for a dillema. I can put in at rebecca creek ramp, paddle along ways upstream for the white bass, but fish for crappie along the way. Or I could launch at rebecca creek low water crossing and catch the whites in less than a mile paddle....but no crappie up that far.
