Fairfield State Park - Status Update

Apologies if this has been covered on one of the other Fairfield-related threads.

As an FYI for those of us that enjoy Fairfield State Park and the lake, please follow the below link for information on a public TPWD Commission work session that is tomorrow - January 25th. The link has information about the work session and ways you can get involved to have your voice and support of Fairfield State Park heard.

I certainly understand the wheels of development are hard to stop. But as our public outdoor resources continue to dwindle, not speaking up isn’t really an option in my opinion.

We received your message regarding Fairfield State Park. As of right now, there are currently negotiations in place with the new developer. There are multiple legislators involved in these negotiations.

I was in touch with David Eichler of Texas Parks and Wildlife, and he gave me the name of someone you might contact regarding the situation and possibly how to help.
