Remember to check waterbody records - carp on a fly - 11/18/22 02:28 AM

If you want a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) fish record certificate, waterbody records are the easiest way to get one. I always check the lake records when I fish a lake and while I was fishing lake Pat Cleburne this evening I caught a carp on my fly rod. There was not a documented fly record for a carp on the lake, so this little 6.8 pound carp should be the new waterbody fly fishing record for Pat Cleburne.

TPWD fishing records are either by weight or length, so take a little time to learn about fishing records before you go fishing. TPWD has a whole section devoted to fishing records.
