Rare Species Catch!

Never before have I held a species of fish so rare! This is a Blue Sucker, a great indicator of water quality and a Threatened species here in Texas. They're in decline throughout their entire native range and catching one has been a goal of mine since I started fishing. So stoked to be able to catch this handsome male covered in spawning tubercles, released to continue his business!

Cool catch

Mine is probably a lion fish , several years back in Key West, they are not so rare these days as they can take over a reef. they are not supposed to
be in Florida waters
