Any type of fishing. My kids don't care long as they feel a tug.

There are several guides who do 1/2 day or whole day trips on Calaveras and they are booked usually around holidays so you might want to do it now.
Pretty sure you can find someone to fit you in!
Try the link I posted or shop around.
Your line will get stretched latching onto a big red!

Try this guy. He has a pretty strong following in this area. He can meet you at Choke Canyon where crappie are good right now. You can also see some big alligators there if you are lucky

+1 on Charles Whited! He's the best in the, area. Careful in S.A. The "rona" is pretty bad right now! Not saying don't go...just be diligent!

Thanks guys. Got squared away with Manny as far as the fishing. Staying at a VRBO/AIR BNB type situation. All outdoor activities for the fam horseback riding, hiking and a little utv riding while there. Family has been touched by rona so we doing our best to be socially distant.

Kids had a great time with Manny. Had a triple going at one time. Dad was the only one not to boat a fish but I learned a good bit on the boat. To me it was was a lot like hybrid/ striper fishing. Cut the trip a little short. Daughter got a little wet and wind changed directions out of the north for a bit. Both kids and a buddy of mine already talking about a return trip. Thanks for suggesting him Jimbo.

👍. Love the one with multiple spots. I think the redfish have really slowed down, but he kills them during the summer.
