Trailer boat latch - 11/12/20 04:45 AM

Do any of you have any experience or opinions on the boat to trailer hookup or the ramp n clamp.? Thinking about adding this to my trailer for an easier load up.

I am seriously looking at the ramp n clamp sport model, looks like a good design. I fish mostly solo so anything that makes it easier to load is welcome.

I had put on a boat buddy which is similar to the ramp and clamp and I would not do without it. Put it on about 15 years ago and it works great if you are by yourself or if you are tournament fishing so that you can get out of the water quick.

I just installed a Drotto latch. It works perfect.
I had a boat buddy years ago and it didn’t work very well. The Drotto is easy to install and is designed correctly.

I am on my second boat with a Ramp n Clamp. My boat partner loves it because he no longer has to get his feet wet to attach the trailer hook.

According to their site you can add the roller at anytime. Try it without it first and see if you need it.
