Lewisville Lake Tower Bay Boat Ramp

Lewisville Lake Tower Bay Boat Ramp - 09/18/20 06:50 PM

The boat ramp at Tower Bay is no longer accessible with your annual sticker you have on your truck.
Today I get up bright and early to get on the lake at sunrise.
The road to the boat ramp is now gated.
You have to have a scan code to get into the park. No signs or anything .
I pull up to the gate and can not get in so I have to back out in the dark .
So I go over to lake park and the lady in the guard shack tells me I have to have a scan code card to get into the gate now .
The lady makes me up a scan code card and she was just as nice as could be so no need to fuss at her.
But it would have been nice if the powers that be had put up a sign before you pull all the way down that road and have
to back out as there is no turn around.

They tried to call everyone that had an annual pass about 3 weeks ago - they had an option to send you a key fob with the bar code or load an app on your phone that had the bar code. You do still have to put in your license plate and phone # even with the code to open the gate. They are supposed to have the same kind of gate on lake park sometime in October.

It's a changing world. Hard for some of us old guys to come around.

The "help" button is a direct phone call and they can let you in. It is not a good system yet.
