Has anyone ever been fishing in any of the lakes or ponds at LBJ Grasslands? How is it? I was hoping to go up there for a weekend of hunting/camping/fishing. How’s the general area? What does everyone think of it?

havent been in many years but have done well in the past in small boats. there were a few good small lakes

I've never fished it, but drove through a little over a week ago and it was packed. The campground at Tadra is closed, of course you can camp anywhere.

Fished it quite a bit when moved down here with Jon boat. Lot of nice little lakes hold some decent size fish. Office in Decatur that has maps of all the lakes. Don’t know if open with this C-19 [censored]. Could call or go to their site might have info on lakes. Been awhile since there sold Jon boat.
