Broken Rod

Broke a Lews Mach 2 rod 3 weeks after buying it from Academy. I tried to take it back and sounds like Academy has gotten a little more strict on what they accept. I've emailed Lew's twice now and haven't gotten a reply. Anyone had any luck returning broken rods?

Yes, Cut the rod section that has the rod info on it and send back to Lews with a description of what happened. They will charge you 20 dollars to replace it. I think this info is on their website but I cant remember.

folks taking advantage of retails stores returned equipment is what has made them change their policies .

If you have the receipt you shouldn't have a problem at Academy.

Most stores are not taking returns during the Coronavirus.
