Lake Arlington

I just called and was told the boat ramp is open.

It is I fished yesterday and so did a lot of other folks. Some recreational boaters and wave runners too. Water clarity is crappy !

I wonder if them people even had a lake pass?

I was going to go sunday. Maybe I will pass and just hit a creek for sandies.

Lake is about 4-5 feet high. Lots of water between the buck brush and cover to the bank and hard to get to your bait to really shallow fish. It was fishing well for me until first of March and now I have found things difficult. I'm new at this and not good offshore so I am struggling.

Which ramp was it? Bowman Springs or Richard Simpson?...or both?

Both are open. I use Bowman since I launch by myself often.

looks like they are using the private neighborhood ramps also
they are going to tow vehicles this weekend

Not sure what you are posting here. Bowman is still open as of yesterday. City website does not have the ramps closed. Please clarify.

HOA pays for them
if you have to drive into a neighborhood, to launch

I've stood along the fenced riprap of the cove at Bowman and heard someone shouting a pin number for the gate to the adjacent community twice. One of those two times I went in and fished the first dock and had a good time with crappie and bluegill. Take it how you will

yeah using the dock is ok in my opinion
launching a boat & blocking off the parking lot
is not

the folks in that neighborhood
pay a lot
for their community

my family lives there
& we are blocked out
at the ramp

Butch I read your post as if people were launching off private ramps cause Bowman is closed. Sorry bout that it’s not so all good here

went up there Tuesday late afternoon, and the piers at Arkansas ramp were packed with folks. Also all the handicap spots for trucks with trailers were full of cars with folks sitting in them. pizzed me off.
