Colorado River/Bastrop tips - 03/18/20 12:37 AM

I’ve never been. Staying there for spring break. Have no clue what to expect. Any tips on what kind of fishing to expect?

Are you sure that the river hasn't been closed down?

Good point Rayzor. I just checked and it doesn't look like the river is very high at this point. Wait for all the lakes in North Texas to release their water and it might be a different story in a week. I won't be in a boat on the river.....we're staying in a cabin within walking distance of the river so I will be bank fishing.

River has plentiful blues, and channel cats, helps to chum them up. If you get a yak, or can find a place to wade, plastics work well for bass. if you have a fly rod, yellow popper, or a wooly bugger.
