None of the Guadalupe River lakes have been drained. There have been danger zones established on all of the lakes and there is no water recreation, boats,or other floating devices allowed in the zones. The zones are clearly marked to "Keep Out"! eeks

Side Note: I have not fished Lake Gonzales but have heard it has some nice bass and other species of fish. thumb

fished it in the late 70s, lived in a fish camp on the lake for about 9 months while on a couple of jobs there.

with it down there should be some good bass to be had, used to catch bass and lots of catfish on trotlines.

they should have the levels down by now I would think.

It's still here, but I don't fish it any more. Only one public ramp, and if the water is down any, you have a real problem getting from the ramp to the lake.
