Carp Fly Fishing - 5 Year Mission Completed

Well, like the original Star Trek Enterprise, I have been on a 5 year mission. In this case, my goal was to catch a carp on a fly every month for the last 5 years. Today I completed the mission lol. I was fishing before a small front and the carp were hitting like crazy this morning. I hooked 18 fish, lost 8, and landed 10 on a fly. Nothing huge, but almost all were over 20 inches. Now I need to think up something else to do while chasing record fish.

Nice fish. I have only been fly fishing for a couple of years and I really enjoy it. Caught my first carp this past spring. Best fight I have had on the fly!

Fortunately, I have a spot near my house that I can be fishing in 2 minutes if traffic is bad and 1 minute 30 seconds if traffic is good lol. So I often make a quick run to the lake after work...and carp are abundant in the area.
