Sam Rayburn Trip - 11/19/19 12:54 AM
Anyone have any recommendations for lodging? My BIL and I will be the only ones going. My BIL wants to stay somewhere around the 147 bridge, maybe Zavalla or Broaddus. We need a place with 2 rooms with at least a full size bed in each. We will be fishing all day, so all we need is clean linens and a hot shower.
Has anyone stayed at the Rayburn Lodge? I can only see one view of the building from the street side on Google maps. It looks pretty crummy.

I used to stay at a motel right at the 147 bridge. It was at a Texaco Station on the west end of the bridge, north side, had 10-12 rooms. I may be able to get you a phone number tomorrow.

That's the Lakeview Hotel near Cassels-Boykin ramp. It's clean, decent, good breakfast, and reasonable prices. Put your breakfast order in the night before and she'll have it ready for you early. 936-897-2102

I've stayed at the Country Inn in Broaddus on several trip to Rayburn.
129 County Road 350 Just Off of 147, Broaddus, TX 75929-3527
Close to Jackson Hill and Cassels-Boykin. Clean, quite and plenty of room for your boat/vehicle. It's not the Ritz but I've no issues there.

Lakeview is not bad, food is good and right at Cassel Boykins. I've stayed at Country Inn in Broaddus, boat parking can be a bit snug. Been to Janes as well.
