If you don't know where the brush piles are you may as well stay home.

I took the new boat on it's first trip out. I went to lake lewisville. The boat ran great.

I put in at Little Elm Ramp and went to the bridge pillars and had no luck. From what I saw it was bad for everyone

I tried some standing timber in about 20 ft of water - no luck

I even tried to catfish and caught nothing

I drove around and found the big bridge and fished it., I caught 1 small crappie and 2 small bass on a sassy shad

I was using the fish finders that came with the boat. I Hummingbird Helix 5 and a Garmin 550 C. But , I guess they weren't configured. It just showed me depth

I need to set it up and configure the graphs so i can actually see more on the graphs

At least the new boat ran good

OH yeah, the foot control motorguide 30 takes practice

Fishing has been tough lately, even in areas I know there are fish. You have a new boat and already landed some fish. Life is good.

I used to go to the marina at hubbard in the winter and catch crappie. I tied my own jigs and sold them there too.

That Marina is gone now. so, when winter gets here I will have to find another one.

In spring anyone can catch crappie

But,this summertime crappie fishing is tough.

But, I still have fun fishing anyway
