Ain't that the truth! We use to all get together at our marina with lawn chairs, cooler of beer, and score cards 0-10 and rate the launch technics of the week-end warriors. Lot of laughs.

I was at Arlington Lake Sunday and they weren't even trying to back down the ramp. They backed up, got out and picked the trailer up and moved it left or right, backed some more then moved the trailer by hand again and so on.

Good weekend to stay home. I'll be at the lake but watching the carnage from the balcony.

I know it's a lot to ask, but I wish someone would make a video from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon of a heavily used boat ramp. I can just imagine what the camera would pick up.

That was good, that is why I never go out on holiday weekends.

We need some live feed cameras mounted at the busiest boat ramps on weekends like this one.... smile

My wife is the only person I know who has turned the Popes Landing ramp into a one boat ramp...during Berkley.. Luckily for her she's 5'2" and very pretty so she hops out and apologizes to everyone and they just laugh and say it's perfectly fine.

Two things overheard at the ramp on Friday:

1. "Cut it left. The other left!! We're going off the ramp! Stop! Forward. Back right. The other right!"

2. "Guys, something is definitely wrong with the engine. It sounds terrible. But screw it, we're going!"

PK this weekend was crowded as expected, but I saw no mishaps at the ramp. We went Friday and Sunday, nobody was there when we launched, and we only saw one other guy launching a jet flea when we loaded Sunday. I thought it was going to be a show, he did not back in very straight, but did stay on his side. I was on the other side standing by my truck as my kid was putting the boat on the trailer. While standing there watching the jet flea guy, I noticed he never un-hooked his rear straps. I just knew they were going to get on it and give it hell, but both guys waded out there waste deep and unhooked them like it was the right way to do it before climbing on. I was somewhat disappointed I was robbed of my boat ramp funny. I actually saw very little inappropriate action on the water except for a few of the jet fleas acting up getting too close, and a some fisherman getting too close with their boats while trolling. I did see some pretty decent lewd conduct by a few young ladies on Sunday. (.)(.) banana

Yesterday, I watched a wakeboard boat sink in front of my house. They hit a stump and took out the drive. Another boat was able to get to them right before I could and get them transferred over. It didn’t take long to be 3/4 of the way under. Game Wardens showed up and as the were transferring the family to their boat, it went straight up and quietly slip beneath the surface. Funny thing was the tube with the tow rope was still attached and the tube settled over the top of the wreck. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to keep people from taking the towable. Almost got into two fights over it.

So this yahoo was at Buck Creek Ramp at Roberts about a month ago. I'm in line waiting to unload, he's initially behind me, with his buddy in a boat, apparently getting ready to load up and leave. Clearly, both ramps are in use. He decides to pull out around me and head in towards the ramp- thereby blocking everyone. He just sits there. So finally I get out and walk up to him and ask 'Is there a plan?". I get blank look, so I leave. Finally the guy at the far ramp pulls up enough for our friend to whip around and load up- after multiple back-up attempts. All I can do is sit and watch in utter amazement!
I have no words.
