Since this is a power plant lake, I would imagine that the lake is pretty busy in Fall & Winter. How is (boat traffic) it in early Summer? I am considering taking a 3-day weekend there.

Just now saw your thread. Even being a hot water lake it can get busy on weekends but not anything like lakes closer to the metroplex. On holiday weekends the state park will fill up (lots of locals). During the week you can fish all day and maybe see a dozen other boats (or less). I'm going to hit it in the morning for crappie.

What bush hog said, the weekends and holidays are the only time I have ever seen it busy.

Are the generators still running?
Thought they shut it down.

It doesn't get that busy, too many other good lakes in the area.
