I've searched but figured I'd just ask. First time in a boat on Lavon. Looking for Crappie. Should we head north on the lake? Is one fork better than the other? I'll drive around all day but thought I'd ask for a little help. Thanks!

Good luck today with this wind, about the only thing I would do is hit the rocks at the Dam.

Forgot to mention it would be this Sunday. Still windy. Will probably be a beating. WIll probably get rained on. I'm not changing my mind though. I guess we have to launch at COllin Park since everywhere else is closed.

Little ridge is open. Crappie are starting to move deep, still catching monster slabs but in 16ft of water now, all spawned out.

You could try the tires at Collin Park if you see anyone else over there. I haven't been out there in a couple of weeks, but there were still a few on the tires last time I was there. I would suggest going to the dam and finding brush piles. I'm not sure what the conditions will be like on Saturday, but hopefully it won't be as bad as yesterday and today.

Good luck out there.

I bet there are still fish on the rocks up shallow, but probably only males guarding beds. If I were you I'd stay in the lower half of the lake and fish rock piles, timber, and brush in 6-20'
