For those who are not aware (and a reminder for the rest), Whopper baits has a soft plastics recycling program. This program is designed to keep your old plastics out of the lake and put new baits in the hands of kids and youth groups. Last yeR we only recycled around 100 pounds. We sent new baits back to clubs in Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, Missouri and Kansas. All of this is done free of charge for the youth clubs. We do the sorting melting, injecting, packaging and mailing. We clearly mark the packaging as recycled. All you have to do is send us the old stuff. Our goal is to recycle 200 pounds this year. These turn out as real baits the kids can fish with. Jake used some to win the TBF state junior championship last year. By the way, this program started when I was contacted by Bob Green of the Leavenworth Bass club. They were looking for a way to recycle their old plastics. It grew from there. The Leavenworth Bass club epitomizes what a bass club should be. They spend more time thinking about conservation and kids than they do fishing. In fact, of the many conversations I have had with their members, I dont think fishing has been discussed once. If you are looking for a club to grt ideas from, that is it. Please contact me to get your club started

Now we know what to do with them. Come on guys how much better could this be? Keeps them out of trash and lakes plus goes to a good cause!

I'll get in on this. I have to turn some into crappie baits, but I'll keep a separate bin for this.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together
