I only have caught one in the old part of the lake, Lake Dallas. About three years ago it was a 3 pounder and ugly as can be. Fishing patterns have been strange the past three years on Lewisville.

I got one once last spring at hickory creek park. Was reeling in to check bait (cut shad) and it hit about 3 feet from the bank next to some rocks. I let it go. Figured it was guarding a nest.

Right!! What pattern? You would be better fishing Ray Hubbard. Good population there.

Lewisville is a very underrated lake for flatheads.

Every once in a while you hook into something it takes off and never looks back then the line snaps
and you wonder what it was. Been there done that.
