5/8/14 1630 Hello, does any one do throw line fishing around L Lewisville or Grapevine ??. I am wanting to learn the art of smoking fish. ( catfish---buffalo---drum ). There seems to be a shortage of fishing piers for handy capped persons to go, and take their G/kids as well. I am willing to pay $.25 a lb. for live fish. TY Chuck (txfshrmn)

Throw lines/limb lines are legal in Texas. You don't need to label them like you do trotline. You are I only allowed a maximum of 5 hooks. Here's a good thread that discusses it.: Limb Line Fishing If you're wanting to buy fish, you can get the species you list at a local Asian market. It is illegal to buy/sell certain species taken from certain lakes depending on the size of the fish. Check TPWD regs if you are thinking about doing so.

He offered to purchase "live weight" strongly suggesting context against State Law. Asian markets in TEXAS do not stock "live weight" fish that are commonly caught on limb lines in the State of Texas Cant say Ive heard of folk catching carp on limb lines, but it could happen I suppose Theres always a friend or Uncle thats done something well above average right?
Anyway . . . . its a jacked OP post and the mods should have already been on it!

You must tag throw lines with a gear tag just like jug lines or trot lines.
