I was in walmart the other day and noticed they had the older model curado E on clearance for $100 so I went ahead and bought it, it was the only one they had (display). This reel is the 09 model I believe. It is way better built than the G-series ( garbage series) and is made in Japan unlike the G-series and most recent I series which are both made in Malaysia. Anyways I never fished with one of these E-series reels and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on these awesome lookin reels. I have one of the new I-series curados and I absolutely love it so far and really needed another one in a 5.5:1 for cranking so I was thinking about selling the E which is a 7.0:1 to get the I in a 5.5:1 or should I keep the E and just shell out the extra cash for a crankin reel? Opinions please?

I think you should sell the E to me. The old greenies are my favorite and most reliable reels I have! Would love to have another.

That is a highly sought after reel. People will gladly pay more than a 100 for a well used one. Great find...

The Curado E7 one of the best reels ever for the price. I have bought the new Curado's, old Chronarchs, new Chronarch CI4+. None compare to the E7 overall. The only reel that I've found better is the Core, but you know how much they run.
