had trouble last year with fuel line , replaced and no trouble until today. With the lake low had to idle everywhere we went. Motor died and would not keep running until I pumped up the bulb. Then idled for a long time. Started in for the weigh in and it died again. Pumped the bulb and it made it in and loaded up. When I got home I pumped the bulb and it pumped up hard. When I replaced the line I did not replace the bulb. Answers or ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just had similar problem with my 97 225, it turned out to be rust particles and dirt in the the VST tank filter. There is a small screen filter in that tank and it was stopped up but I guess it would let some fuel thru, motor would only idle, but now and then ran ok, you might have it checked

Is that the screw on filter on the side of the motor?

No the one he is referring to is on the bottom of the electric fuel pump inside of the VST. I would replace the manual fuel pump diaphragms and bulb first. You could have a leak on one of your fuel lines. If the fuel pump screen gets restricted pumping the bulb will not make any difference.
