Where are a few places to fish within 2 hours of san Antonio that is not crowded by jetskis and boaters? I have a 10ft pelican predator with 3hp motor and 30lbs trolling motor. Thought about choke even though its low but where else should I try?

Boerne City lake is good for your size boat. You can't use the outboard but tmotor is fine. There is also the stretch of river in Seguin by the RV park with the boat ramp. Braunig and Calaveras are good too.

Current Cylinder Index is 42.

If you can your mini-boat into the water, Medina is so low that the bass might well be concentrated and easy to catch. Also - try Inks Lake, up below Lake Buchanan - it's constant level.

Medina is 3% full. Its sad...

Never knew about ivie.

I know what you mean about constant wake from boats/jetski.. especially kids with daddys boat/jet ski.

I like inks lake... wish I could find camping spots for Saturday night.

What about east of SA... towards davy Crockett national forest?

just go to the north end, won't be any skiing going on there, or at least they won't last long if they do!!

Ivie is 3+ hours from San Antonio.

Bastrop would be a choice

Colleto Creek might be as well.

Bastrop has several area of the lake that are loaded with fish in no wake areas.

It's a great lake to fish.

Ladybird lake -- perfect place to take your little boat! it is electric or manpowered only (except for the row teams little chase boats...), so you will be able to get around without getting bounced all over the place laugh

And there are some great fish in that lake too!

Check out Houston Co. Lake,Put in at Crockett Family Resort, and head east. That section of the lake has to many stumps for "pleasure boaters"

Have fun! that lake has some giants!

Within 2 hrs of San Antonio... I'd try "Buescher State Park, Smithville, TX 78957".
