For those of you that follow Heroes on Facebook you have probably already seen this, H.O.W. is doing a team for Carry the Load this year and the team captain wants to cart a kayak the entire 24 hours. I will be out of the country on my annual Canadian fishing trip and will not be able to physically assist them in their goal.
The only two people signed up to help or participate are the team captain and my girlfriend, if you cannot join in physically you can also donate via the
team page or you can donate in
Mary's name to the team.
I am here to request, cajole, encourage or otherwise shame you in to assisting them achieve what they are setting out to do. For those of you who have met Mary, she is an intelligent and purposeful woman who achieves her goals and will drag the kayak the entire 24 hour leg if she must. In 26 days Mary and Kennon will set forth on their mission to support the American heroes that are the true meaning of Memorial day and in doing so will carry the colors for the charity we cherish dearly.
