Use two jacks and some boards to raise the boat off the trailer, one side at a time. I did one that way.

It will work just fine with the jacks, just replaced the bunks on mine! I used a block of wood between the jack and the hull!

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

Almost anywhere should let you put them on while your boat is in the water.

Make the bunks up with carpet and its pretty simple and quick to take the old ones off and put the new ones on.

It depends on what you are wanting to do to your trailer. Replace bunks or straighten or replace axle. in either case I would only do it with the boat off the trailer entirely.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I made up the new bunks at home, put boat in water at public ramp, beached the boat and replaced the bunks in about 30 min.

I used a jack and boards as well, pretty easy if you do one side at a time.

Cheers,

George

I went camping once with my brother, he launched the boat and beached it at camp then we tore into his trailer, it needed a lot of work but we were able to get it done there at the campsite. This way allows you not to have to worry about how much time and allows you to have electricity if needed

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst

I don't like putting jacks under the fiberglass. If you replace carpet, replace the wood too. Once you get the new bunks made, take the boat off at the ramp. Pull the old bunks and re-drill the new holes based on the old bunks and then replace. Use new lag bolts as well. It doesn't take long and is much easier to work on without the boat on top.
