Blew the dust off the new yak
AGAIN this AM.
U see, we had it loaded up 2 weeks ago bound for Cooper. But, as we were driving off,
I got the dreaded phone call that work was going to need me before sundown
So, we turned right around & had to unload it

Then i looked over at my boy & said "how about a quick fix at the local creek?"
He managed about 4 dozen perch n several small bass

Today we were ready for some sweet revenge!

We pulled up to the 380 ramp with good friend Sharkanator & began the
familiar launch waltz. The boys life vest just Barely fit him!

"Its been too long" I thought to myself. Man, how time flies!
About 10 min after pushing off, Sharkanator draws 1st blood!
1st White of the day!

We should have hung around that area a bit longer but, I could see Gulls circling the islands

So, we paddled on trolling as we went. As we approached the area our lures began bouncing off the rocky bottom

Then we picked up White #2! YES!!
I reached back & threw out a marker. We made several more passes but kept getting snagged on the rocks

I didn't think to switch to a swim bait

By the time it hit me, the wind had kicked up & its was time to turn and burn.
So much for 5-10mph!
On the way back (trolling) we hooked into a nice LMB. My son lost it before he could get it yakside.
Bridgeport is now 21.5' - 22' low!
Water was still murky & cold!
Wind S/SE 5-17 mph
No Hybies today all fish took on light colored shallow running cranks & med gold lipless cranks So, we ended up getting lots of exercise, wet n slimed the new yak & tested out my good friends new custom trailer.

What do ya'll think about his new 4-yak hauler?
We will GET EM NEXT TIME!
