I've been on a job past 2 months. Have only one day to get my line wet. Thinking of going to Gladewater, Hawkins, or Gilmer Lake. Which do you think I should go and help me out, how should i fish it in morning, mid day and then evening? What baits are working. Are bass still on beds or have they moved off. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I fished Hawkins for about 4 hrs yesterday(930-1) and there were plenty of beds but fish are done or close. I was able to manage 5 fish and broke off one on a black lizard. The water temp was 61 and it was cloudy with a light breeze. Hope this helps you with your choice.

Might try Hawkins on one side of the day and another in the afternoon. I know you didn't mention Holbrook, but they are still on beds there if you like that type of Fishing.

Hey Jeff
I have lived on lake gladewater for 20 years, this is the worse year I have ever had on it.... fished it from 1pm to 3pm this afternoon before work caught five buck bass no females.. I have been catching mostly buck bass this year so far and I fish pretty often.. I have been catching most of the fish on the northern end of the lake, but is real off color from the winds and rains.. I use a shad color fluke or white and chartreuse spinner bait "slow roll".. If it were me, of the three lakes I would go to gilmer as I always catch nice size fish with a white and chartreuse spinner bait on that lake.. I don't know what hawkins is doing right now.. Hope this helps you out some..
