Will be at Braunig this weekend and was wonder if anyone’s been out catching any fish? I haven't been to Braunig in about 10 years but it was the only lake within 100 miles that had a Rv spot open this weekend. I’m going to take my boat and just looking for any pointers or spots to catch some cats....Already have a bucket of chum and a bucket of big Marvs cheese bait ready.....Thanks AY

Fish along rip rap or reed beds that the wind is blowing into. I avoid all lakes on easter weekend, they are mad houses.

I've been fishing there since 1964, I think there is still one tree there. It'll be crowded, but if you have some Big Marvs you'll catch some.
In the beginning there were fish in the waters and birds in the sky, and it was good. And then there were fishing rods and shotguns, and it was very good.

No trees, since there has been so many lures and lines cast at them over the years, that they completely wore the bases down to where they all fell over and they are no longer standing. Seriously though, if you've got some big Marv's, just fish along the dam. Near the gates and around the third or fourth light pole from the end of the jetty on the east side, and also near the intake if you can get around all the boats.
Just one more cast!

I fished about an hour yesterday evening and only catch one fish. I put out 2 small trotlines and had 14 channels this morning. They were caught on cut shad an probably all round 3-4 lbs
I will try the east side of the jetty or by the dam this evening or tomorrow morning
Thanks AY
