There is something for the whole family at this event. We have youth activities and adult activities on Friday and Saturday. TPWD is bringing in a bunch of great speakers.
Most notable is:
Tim Birdsong, TPWD Inland Fisheries � Conserving Freshwater Fish Diversity in Texas. Learn about TPWD�s efforts to conserve our state�s native freshwater
fishes.
Tim is a kayaker and a fly fisherman. He is the guy whose group sets up our TPWD Paddling Trails.

Just finished day one. If you're anywhere near in the area, I encourage you to attend. The casting instructor team that has been assembled is amazing. There were seven board of governors level instructors there today and I don't know how many master and certified instructs are here. The next two days are full of classes, many of which are more advanced skills that are not offered often.

The fly tying instructor talent and classes being offered is just as impressive.

Plus there are two full days of other fly fishing presentations being offered.

This is by far the biggest fly fishing show that I have seen offered in Texas. You don't want to miss this opportunity.

well the first ever texas council expo is in the books!!!! what a week!!!! words cannot express how I feel at this time, but it was an awesome experience. thank you all who came, volunteered, and made it happen. we are already strategizing for next year. may 29-31. mark it on your calendar!!!

the casting was incredible. vendors everywhere. presentations form the best in the state!!! auction and awards dinner was very well attended, and many thanks to the bidders and contributors!!
