I fished Bonham today, from 1230 to 430 pm. First time on the lake. Bought the pass at Kwik Check. I got skunked. Got 2 bites and missed both of them. The lake looks fishy, and it sounds like others have success, so I guess I will try it again sometime when I can get there for the early morning.

I fished a shad spinnerbait, yellow/black back shallow crank, had a brief attempt with a carolina rig, shaky head, and drop shot..... No success. I tried the creeks, especially docks in the creeks, hit the cattail edges some, and the rocks at the bridge on the west side.

I can almost always pick up a few fish with a shaky head.....so I was a little frustrated.

Only one jet ski was aimlessly zipping back and forth in front of me, so not a lot of pleasure boating today.

I marked some fish in deeper water (12-15) out in the main lake, but it was too windy for my trolling motor to keep up out in that area, so I couldn't fish it effectively.

Water temp was 65-68.

Chartreuse Spinner baits in the back coves. We did some work on them this weekend. All caught in no deeper than 4 feet of water.

Thanks for the information guys. Thanks for the PM charger boat man.

I don't fish tourneys yet, still trying to learn how to catch 'em more consistently before I start putting any money on the line, so I appreciate the information.
