can not remove the center area of the bench seat to clean, anyone have a suggestion, thanks

There's three #2 Philips screws above the fold down seat near the top of the carpeted area
There's also 2 #3 Philips screws behind each back rest insert, pull the insert as it's held by Velcro but it's tight
You can then pull the bench seat right out for easy cleaning

thank you to be sure the inserts are held by velcro but very hard to pull out this seat does not have a fold down back

The 13-14 years are a little different
2000 up have Velcro pull out centers, it's stuck good I guarantee

I have the same boat and took a while to realize that you have to pry the middle inserts of the backrests out. It is velcro'd in and then you will see the screws that actually hold the seat in. Also there is a groove below the seats that the whole bench seat slips over.
