When you say Cottonmouth, was that what it was?
Most of these critters are diamondback water snakes (non-venemous).

By the way he spells and punctuates, I bet he is kuntry enough to know his snakes! No disrespect to the OP intended. Any family man that works till 8 gets my respect! Plus you got a woman that likes to fish.
God loves you just as much as anybody else!!

That is why I hate fishing from the bank!!!! They're kinda partial to a nice, warm engine cowling too. I've had to knock a few off with a paddle.

Ha ha Yeah man. Shorty is typing so fast he's hyperventilating. That would have scared the you know what out of me. And I'm very good at identifying reptiles but in the dark EVERY snake, or even big nightcrawler, is a WATER MOCCASIN RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are at the slip most of the year. I hate snakes with a passion. But I tell my wife to leave them alone, as a cotton mouth will came up after you.
Friend shot the bottom out of his boat in Slidell trying to kill a cotton mouth that came on board. He killed it but he also sunk his boat.

Yup! Those snakes will turn your fishing rod into a martial arts staff pole and improve your accuracy and timing. Just make sure you have a good grip on your rod, don't want to lose it.
