Anyone been out to Bastrop lately? Haven't seen any reports recently and wanted to see how the fishing was out there. A buddy and I are headed down there this Saturday and we wanted to see what we should expect. TIA!

Report Lake Bastrop 4-12-14

water temp 72 degrees. Wind Southeast 15 MPH. Water slightly stained.

Fish good on soft plastics from 10 feet to bank. Topwater frogs good on matted vegetation early. Later, find spots that have grass any work plastics slowly, A T-rigged plastic with a 1/4 once weight seemed to work well. Be patient, saw bass working the shallow water as well. Good luck.
