needless to say its pretty easy to understand the current pattern
12 to 16 inches under a float and cover lots a bank
rocky stuff will hold fish
as well as fallen timber
deeper water close by helps
baits should be highly visible
and twitch that float a bit
be ready to set the hook ...

It was in reference to how deeply darkened these fine specimens are
they are full blown shredded tails dorsal fin spawning it up
the water clarity is pretty fair there and the fish in general are pretty as well
just lookee at these pretty bluegill fisheeez


and to be sure the black crappie are living up to that there name BLACK CRAPPIE ....LOL

yes sir ....most of our ketch was male fish
we lost a couple of big girls ....we always seem to manage losing some good ones
I even had the net ready and the fish was a couple a feet from it
and from my past experience ....when she comes up and she is a black crappie
and her mouth is bucket size
you know a biggun just got quick released when the splashin stops
but no worries okiebob ....I never seem to lose the lil ones
and with that I want to present lil fish of the day

the float ketchn thing sure is easy and fun
my buddy on the trip is new to this float ketchn of crappie fish
he is like a kid at the candy store I tell ya
and to be sure a very fast learner ....
I told him yesterday its like bream fishin with a cork
just toss and watch it ,,,,
it just don't git any easier

thanks sir ....I didn't manage a whale there
I spose the night before I was granted my wish for a whale
but it was fun watchin the floats dance and go under
and the day was like unbelievable ....
light wind ,nice sunshine ,the boat ran perfect , my good bud, the fish were biting
what a fun 4 hours it was !!
we had what I think was a coopers hawk ... come up very close and kill something
then sit there very defiant and eat eat it while givin us THAT LOOK
probably should of got a photo ....man was it a fine specimen
a bit busy ketchn at the time though ....
but quite entertaining

this batch just happens to be my freezer refill batch brother
plus the boss wants a few smaller whole fish
he is from Alabama and eats his "speckled perch" fried whole
