Wade fished near Pine Gully this morning. Caught 13 croaker on dead shrimp, started using croaker as bait. Caught 6 sand trout, 2 rat reds, and a BIG black drum(talk about a thrill when wading) on croaker on a carolina rig. Fished from 8 to 11. The amount of fish i saw today was outstanding. Trout bustimg the surface all around, shrimp flapping away. You know the fishing was good when you can barely move your arms haha

Take me with you. I have not caught anything but hardhead in Seabrook. I really want that place to work out so I don't have to keep driving so far.

There are two gators i know of back in the marsh. Pine Gullys always veen good to me, especially with the free entry. Nice pier and a nice spot to wade.

You can park outside and no charge at Pine Gully, they will let you walk in, 2 min walk.

Fishing is the chance to wash one's soul with pure air.
It brings meekness and inspiration, reduces our egoism,
soothes our troubles and shames our wickedness.
It is discipline in the equality of men--for all men
are equal before fish

I drove out to prospect El Jardin Park for wade fishing the flats. There was a sign "Beware of Alligator." Anyone know anything about this. I want to wade there Saturday morning. How is the fishing?

Is this area good fishing from a boat this time of year. I am heading that way the day after Christmas. I have never fished this area before, not sure where to go?

Liked your Pine Gully report/post. Scouted the area by HotSpot map then Jeep. Also looked at Sylvan Beach. Both piers look great. Need my folding buggy to get here from Sam's. Sites are close to home. Could not figure out where to enter water for wading or where to launch my inflatable Zodiac at PG. Bad neck has taken my golf game so I guess that leaves fishing. Both can be aggravating violin until you get some skills, so here I am. Really appreciate salty guys like you. Great forum. Hope the roaches don't invade the site.

Bought a new pair of breathable waders. Boot foot fits my 10 1/2 well, but need a pair of wading boots that will fit over the stocking foot. Guessing a 13 might work. Anybody got ideas?

Former college golf coach and long time teacher of scientifically based golf. Broken, spindled and folded former Army Airborne, Ranger, Green Beret. Now confined to setting on the porch and howling at the moon with the other old dogs. Not quite that bad, but getting a year older every day and have the attitude to prove it.

If you stay in Webster try armand bayou. I had a similar problem withth boot foots. I wear a 12 so a 13 was a pain to get in and out of. I went with lace ups instead easier to get in and out of plus the soles are thicker stepping on rocks and whatever else is down there safer.

Tried to reply a couple of times, not sure if thing went through or is in cyberspace. Visited MT Tackle and made a purchase. Noticed it was somewhere in North Texas ... relative or friend maybe? Placed an order. Fishing is my new obsession ... just gotta spend! Nice website. I'm about to do something similar with some golf training aid products. Maybe we can trade info. I taught web design at North Harris College. MT is doing a bunch of things right, but I have a couple of ideas that might open some money doors.

Appreciate and agree about the lace up wading boots. Still trying to figure out where to enter the water for wading at Pine Gully and now Armand. Do you need a gator gun or just common sense (wherever you buy that)?

No relation to the owner of the site. He just has some good products at half the price. Plus he made me some leaders at my specs at no extra cost. If your thinking about wading head over to kemah/seabrook the area right off 146 where all the seafood shops are. The have another rd with a small under pass and a area cleared. I usually wade over there specks and reds its not deep less that 4 ft all the way out. Use 741 todville rd seabrook tx and it will get you there.
