 Here is what a well fed bass looks like

Last week I stocked a new 50 acre lake in Central Texas and afterwards the owners asked me to crappie fish at his other lake. I was throwing a red and white 1/8 oz jig and this fatty jumped on it. This fish was over 180% of relative weight. I had never seen a fish over 160% of relative weight. This fish was only 19 inches and weighed just shy of 7 lbs. Also a great example of how fish pictures can be deceiving. I'm sure most guys would have thought this fish was 10 lb plus. A real testament to great lake management and a female full of eggs.

OK...I'll be the dumb one here. What is "relative weight"? Beautiful specimen by the way.

Cool, just googled the relative weight chart. I never really measure my fish length, but I always have a scale, nice to know how the lake might really be doing. Where'd you say those lakes were again?  Nice - nothing better than a farm pond raised bass. My PB came from one in Lakeport, CA -10.01 lbs.
