I have a 95 Johnson 200 and have lost about 10 MPH and is getting sluggish coming out the hole once on plane runs fine just the lose of mph. Any ideas I thank it maybe the power pack but do not know how to check it.

Sounds like your down a cylinder. Check to see if all spark-plug wires are connected, Check compression, fire on each spark-plug, keep in mind this motor stops firing on top port cylinder when operating temp is reached, Timing advance arm has become disconnected. Let us know.

Well checked the comp. and #1 cyc. had 0psi all others had at lest 100psi but will not crank now I'll charge the batts. good tonight and try again tomorrow but it acts like it is air locked as it doesn't turn over but 1 or 2 times. looks like my year maybe shot till I can get it fixed or find one, if anybody has a Johnson or evinrude 200 or 225 for sale let me know.

Well It will still run but will only spin over 1 or 2 times. I can take stuff apart and put it back together but am far from being a mechanic what would you suggest?

Pull the head off of the 0 compression side. Post pictures of what you find.

Not good. If you did not clean piston are head it sure is awful clean like it may have been real lean.

I feel your pain. My Johnson did the same thing. Same cylinder. Mine destroyed the head. I'm struggling with having mine rebuilt. Around 5 grand to bore the motor and rebuild. Good luck.
