I have spent some time recently with my cousin up in katy. For awhile he has been a member of the katy bass club. Being from portland and doing both salt and freshwater fishing quite often, i have loved both. After doing some talking around there is no formal fishing club here in portland. I have ideas of doing a club where once a month we fish tournaments but with a twist. We have alot of opportunities here in the coastal bend. I would like to see one month we fish salt then next month fish a freshwater tournament with only artificial( speckle trout and large mouth bass). I would like to open it for boaters and non boaters. Where the boaters would draw for non boaters to share their boats with. I would like ideas. Any thoughts. I would like to open it for entire coastal bend.
