Bet you see some that shallow within the next week

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

thanks so much sir , I will say I got several pictures of big fish that came from 12 to 18 inches of water this week ,
and my bud ketched him a limit Wednesday afternoon in a creek on a lake they say aint got a bite right now
I also had a friend ketchn them in 32 fow yesterday ?
cedar creek north end looked like Christmas the other day at nightfall in the creeks
I think if you know your lake well I would be out there this evening at dark thirty in a spawning area with a lantern and a few poles with floats and some shiners
the moon is almost full and if the sky remains clear it could be a rather eventful evening for ya thumb
and as always KABOOM banana

water was 50 yesterday in Texoma shallow but dropped to 48 in the main lake. For big deep lakes easy crappie fishing will likely be three weeks away.

Now if you go south to shallower lakes that warm up first things will be better. I suspect we'll soon see pics of big stringers coming from the usual suspects (Belton, waco, etc).

It's like waiting for Christmas when you were 8...
