I just bought one of those a couple months ago and paired it with a 7' Ugly Stik Catfish rod. I've only caught a couple channel so far, with the biggest being an 8lb channel, but its held up well. Have fun with yours!

There good long lasting reels i got a few myself had them for years..just clean & maintain.. enjoy those free-ones!!
