Unbelievable bag! Nice job and congrats. I really like the lake. We had a paper club tournament there. I would not be able sleep if I caught 5 in one day anywhere that weighed 30 plus!

What won the paper tourney? I would have loved to weigh in some fat 3 pound 17 inchers!

Texas Poormans Full Results

Thanks for kind words. I think this year may be the best at Gilmer. Plenty of big fish. Sunday before last in a jackpot Tourn. There was a 26lb bag. I got 2nd with 3 fish for almost 23lbs. With a 11 lb kicker. And in our wensday night Tourn we had 23lbs before dark. We culled 3 , 25lb bags Saturday. And when the little front came in at end of day. A buddy lost a 10 or better. And that's when I caught that 7. The record for wensdays night Tourn is 35:42lbs. I bet it gets beat this yr.

What the heck are these guys doing to catch 30 and 35 pounds at gilmer? I've always caught fish there but never sacks like that.

no real secret lures, just fish the warmest water you can find, fish grass and RIP baits out of the grass.... Barlow just has those pet bass trained out there.. he's the man to beat on Gilmer... that lake is awesome, but honestly, it fished tough for most... at least for 18" keepers.
