my water pressure guage sets at zero until I'm going about 30 mph and then it reads 5 and at 50 mph is reads 10. I have what looks like a good stream of water coming out of the back of the motor. Any thought/suggestions. Just had new water pump installed. Do you think it the guage or some other issues? Thanks

I would guess semi clogged line. Taking it off and blow out with air gun or replace altogether

Or the poppet assembly needs service. Merc`s will have better pressure with a complete water pump housing change.

mine reads about the same.

very little at an idle.

on a fishin motor you should be reading atleast 4-7 lbs. and around 12-15 is minimum on that motor.

motor too high?
intakes clogged?
poppet?
water pump weak?

could be several things
