We headed down this past Wednesday and was on the water at daylight Thursday morning. We caught a bunch of fish just couldn't find any size fishing most of the day. We kept up with our best 5 and would have been in the 80 lb. range. This is a few pics from Thursday.

Friday came as predicted with gail force winds rolfmao. Just wasn't safe to get out in a 20 ft. flat bottom. We drove around the lake looking at the lake levels. One of the ramps we have used in past years the water was 100 yards from the ramp eeks . Texas is in bad need of some serious rains to move in. We got to meet some forum members and had a blast just driving around. We ran into Johnny "Drawout" and his dad at State Park, Big Dave from Little D's guide service and others. We decided without getting to pre-fish Friday, 80 lbs probably wouldn't be enough to get a top 10 finish. Decided to not get in the tournament but stayed and fished Saturday.

We headed out Saturday morning and forgot to get the landing net out of the truck, "needed it OMG". The fish were feeding like crazy and we ended up catching 50+ fish for the day. Landed all the bigger fish with the team catfish grips and Big Dave wasn't too far from us at one spot and I think I heard him laughing at us trying to land the 47 lber. rolfmao We kept up with our best 5 and ended up with a 5 fish total of 154 lbs. We missed about 4 slow runners all day that were probably big fish on whole shad. We had a blast and look forward to our next trip down. Heres a few pics from Saturday.

Hey Johnny

Great job getting on them. I guess I need to say thanks to you and big Sam for not entering. Y'all would have kicked me and chase out of the money. It was good to see y'all at anchor. I'm glad Sam got his sugar back to normal and y'all had a good time.

Thanks guy's, Me and Sam were talking and I think we could get used to Texas living pretty quick. One of us would just have to get a bigger boat rolfmao.

Jason, it was good visiting with you. The sprite had kicked in by the time I drove us to get some supper and his sugar had jumped back up to 169.

Johnny, we need to get your number. We could have jumped in with you and fished around 751 Friday. I guarantee you and your dad would have been laughing all day rolfmao. The fish were hitting the skips Thursday but didn't want them Saturday, we switched to all shad pretty quick.

Salsa we were watching and never seen your boat so we figured we were on the wrong end of the lake rolfmao.
